A warm beanie with an in your face message. My wintery seaside realization. And dozens of Kindle deals (in which you get to ferret out some wonderful new to you authors.)
One of my very favorite books is on your lostβ¦ The Gift of The Sea. It was given to me as a gift by a dear friend because of our mutual love for the ocean and each other.ππ
Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions, and Kindle book deals.
I love your hat, Linda! And my hold on "Courage for the Unknown Season" is already in at the library; thank you for that recommendation. I hope your week is going well. :-)
It always makes me smile to hear about the variety of Christian books that are available in public libraries. Most libraries seem to have request for order forms available to fill out online. I've never been let down when I've asked them to order a copy for their shelves (and my reading pleasure!)
You are looking too cute in your new beanie. What a fun find! So many good recommendations. Not sure where to begin but I do appreciate good reading ideas. I'm not a "huge reader" and need to be inspired. Highlights like this really help. Maybe I need a cute beanie??!:) Happy Tuesday, friend!
I love the beanie, Linda! Looks like a list of some good books to check out. I found three books in my stack that I had not read before, I donβt know how that happened. All three were historical fiction, and I completed all 3 in record time. I could not put them down. I hope your Valentineβs Day was joy-filled!
I have read The Winter Sea and highly recommend it. It is part of a Trilogy which is SO interesting. I love the time-travel aspect.
And Anne Lindbergh's Gift From the Sea! That should be on the required/"Classics" list for every woman over the age of 30... and strongly encouraged to be re-read every few years for the rest of her life!
Always appreciate your book recommendations. Thanks for sharing so freely! β€οΈ
Yeah, the time travel angle took me off guard at first, a bit out of my tried and true reading zone. But it was so effortlessly enfolded into the storyline, wasn't it. It belonged.
I'm looking forward to finishing the trilogy. Good stuff. I'm smiling that we're valuing the same books, friend.
Thanks for sharing! Iβve read the gift of the sea a couple of times through the years and it is very good. I will check out some of the others you have shared.
I love reading your musings here...I love good socks. too. My DIL had alpacas for awhile and I found alpaca socks....I love them like you love your wool socks.
Hey, next fall we are planning a trip to the Northeast. Hope to drive through your beautiful Cape Cod. To live close to the ocean....I can only imagine.
Have fun planning your Northeast trip, Carol. Looking back, I wish we had done some better prep before a big journey. And yes, you will love it in this neck of the woods!
Thank you so much for all you put into these posts! You are such a blessing to us all.
I do love pulling these book posts together. Thanks for the encouragment, Cheryl.

Happy Wednesday evening, friend.

Ah, historical fiction. I can't choose between one or a hefty, gripping memoir.
So, I'll take both, please!
Happy late Valentine's evening to you, friend. I'm sure yours was lovely.
Love the Beanie!

Plumped up my Kindle a bit, but for basement bargain prices. Thanks!
'Plumped up my Kindle a bit.'
Karen, I love the way you put it. And yes, let's hear it for bargain basement prices. You don't see too much of that any more.
I just ordered courage for the unknown season. Thank you again!!!
That seems to be the title that people are ordering most from this post. Looks like you're in good company!

I hope you find a wonderful something with your name on it, Leighann!
love that hat! and what a great reading list you have shared. Isn't it fun to read what others are reading? My TBR pile is getting too high again.
I'm with you, Jean, it's always fun to browse through someone else's bookshelves either in real life or right here at our online homes.
Happy Valentine's Day, dear one. A perfect day to snuggle up with a good book.
That picture you have of the waves. stunning.
