Porch #139 🎈 A captivating, enchanting chaos
snapshots of Bermuda and a granddaughter's bridal shower (+ the reality of cascading, mismatched emotions ... and Enya, too)
Kendra Adachi muses, ‘We know the feeling of Maycember. May has a similar energy to the beautiful chaos of December, but we forget it’s like that until we’re in it. I never remember how crazy May becomes until literally right now.’

May’s been something wild around here, like a roller coaster on steroids. It’s pretty much been all about being away from home, getting ready to be away from home, or recovering from being away from home.
On repeat.
There’ve been huge pockets of celebratory joy and occasional potholes of grief as an assortment of anniversaries and milestones and events have collided and co-mingled, sometimes leaving me feeling like I’m having a weird out of body experience.
But this is life in all its fullness - serendipitous surprises, unavoidable losses, merry laughter, brimming eyes, excuses to party, bittersweet memories, unfolding miracles, and golden dreams that come true while others fade to gray … all shaken up, stirred together, and encased in God’s steadying lovingkindness.
June, July, and August are looking like the same. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Aww sweet memories, rest, relaxation mixed with loss, grief, and busy schedules. I appreciate your summary, Linda, "All shaken up, stirred together, and encased in God's steadying lovingkindness." Yes!
It's been 28 years since I've been to Bermuda. The striking blue water hasn't changed! Lovely photos. May you keep catching your breath from the fullness of life this summer!
