Grace & Space is 1 year old! Each week I give you a little bit of cake & then you come along with all the sweet icing, lots of terrific sprinkles, & plenty of sparkle!
I'm glad you've ventured on to Substack, too, Lisa! Yes, it took a bit of time to figuresome things out and I've a long way to go, but if there's anything I can do to help you with the absolute basics please ask and maybe we can figure it out together.
Thank you, Linda! I have thought about chatting with you about Substack and the “right” perspective about it. I think I originally saw it as another Facebook, so I was using it to point people to my website. But it seems people are more relational on Substack and it is more community minded. I’m still trying to understand Substack’s ebb and flow.
Hmm...I realized I haven't seen your posts lately! I must have somehow gotten unsubscribed, so I have subscribed again. Happy anniversary, Linda! I'm glad you found this space to continue bringing us your true and beautiful self!
It's already been a year? I don't known how that's even possible. It's been a true joy to watch you grow and thrive here, Linda. Our God makes all things beautiful in his time, doesn't he? Can't wait to see what the coming months and years hold for you.
And likewise to you, my friend. Let's continue to see together what God is up to in our lives and in our writing. Thank you for traveling the rocky and scary paths with me. You are a faithful friend.
I am from Michigan. My blog site is anointedtoday.blogspot.com. I love to write and I have been blogging since 2009. I Love your site and congratulations on your Anniversary. I appreciate you.
Betty, welcome! 2009, wow! You and I have been around for a long time, weathering all of blogging's shifts and changes. I'll be by to visit you soon. Thanks for leaving your link.
Happy Grace & Space anniversary!! I truly look forward to reading your newsletters when they pop up in my inbox, as I know there will be nuggets of goodness in every single one of them. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and perspective, as well as creating a lovely community space for all of us to enjoy! 💕
Congrats on a year! I just recently found you from a linked reading list type of post. I'm always interested in what others are reading, especially readers of faith who read widely, if that makes any sense. Glad to have found you!
Brooke, hi and welcome! Yes, I think I hear exactly what you're saying about 'readers of faith who read widely.' I put out an edition of the BOOKBAG mid-month and hope you'll enjoy the next one. The comment section afterwards is populated with other kindred spirit readers often bringing their own recommendations. Good stuff.
Congratulations on your one year anniversary. I've enjoyed your space here. There seems to be more freedom in being yourself and writing authentically in this space than the other places we've met. I appreciate your words. I haven't been in the online space as much these past couple of years as prior years (that may change but I'm taking it slow and steady with grace & space), but your space is always one I intentionally visit.
Lynn, thanks for the nudge to give ourselves plenty of time and space to make those decisions that refuse to be taken care of quickly. But please know your creative presence is missed. The good thing about this blogging life is that we can come and go as we please and can create our own rhythms as life moves along. I hope you're doing well. I always love when you're here.
Congratulations on the one-year anniversary of Grace & Space, Linda!
It's so amazing to see how this community has grown over the past year. I love how you share your journey—the ups, the downs, and everything in between. It really makes this space feel like home. I'm excited to see what you have in store for us next!
Veronica, I'm glad it feels like home around here. Thank you for how you invite your readers to travel vicariously through your posts. I'll never see the world in this lifetime but the glimpses you offer sure have enlarged my borders. I so appreciate you as my tour guide to places unknown!
Linda, switching to SubStack has been perfect for you. I have been reading for several years, I think. I love your honesty and transparency. Keep writing from your heart and I will be here for the journey! Happy Anniversary!
Oh Pam, you have brought so much warmth and inspiration into my life for years with your beautiful tablescapes, the Sunshine Cottage, and the lovely gardens that you and Butch continue to cultivate. Thanks for getting my creative energy going when it comes to all things home and garden. I appreciate you so.
Well...happiest anniversary wishes, Linda! I have to admit that I had not heard of SubStack before your made your transition. Still not 100 percent sure all of the differences/pro or cons when compared to Wordpress, etc but I know I really enjoy your SubStack. I am blessed, cheered, and challenged by whatever I read here...and love the beautiful photos that make me smile! Thank you for sharing from your heart. Here's to another full year ahead......Jennifer (a friend from Virginia - and I do hope you enjoyed the best visit in the fair commonwealth!!)
Jennifer, yes! We were able to spend wonderful days with our oldest granddaughters, one newly married with her husband and the other at her second year at college. It was the best to see them living their lives as adults and to enjoy them as grown-ups, not the little girls they once were. God is so good.
I was a student at Liberty (Baptist College) a lifetime ago. The campus is hardly recognizable to me anymore. There was also no ASL major - which would have been amazing. I am trying to learn ASL now. I'm sure my skills and progress would also be unrecognizable - ha!!
Happy Happy Anniversary on one year of Grace and Space. Like so many others have said, your porch space is so inviting and I’m grateful to have found it. May His grace continue to flow over you.
WHAT A GENEROUS GIVEAWAY LINDA! Many blessings to you dear friend, and congratulations on one year anniversary with your encouraging space here in blogland! You have blessed and encouraged me so many times, I am grateful for you, and your love for the Lord! Many blessings to you today and in the years to come!
Oh my goodness, Marilyn, I think we were on each other's sites at the same time! I love when that happens. Thank you for your kind words. You know I am rejoicing at all the wonderful changes in your family. God is so good.
Thanks so much for sharing your anniversary with Sweet Tea & Friends this month my dear.
Wasn't that fun??!!
Happy One-Year Anniversary on Substack! I'm still trying to figure this site out, but I'm glad you are smooth sailing. :)

Hey dear one, I knew something's been missing here. And it was you. I sent you an email ...
xo
Congrats on the 1-year anniversary! It took me a while to get the hang of the Substack platform. The react button is great!
Margie, thanks for hanging with me through the changes! It means so much to stay connected over the miles and platform switches.
Linda, I love your posts and always feel like I am coming home when I am here! Congratulations on your one-year anniversary!!
Coming home. I love when we can offer that for each other, friend.
Happy Anniversary! What a clever way to celebrate.
We're having a good time! So fun to meet people I've never met before. And I'm glad you're here, Debbie.

'Nuggets of goodness.' I love the way you put what we all offer each other in our writing. Thank you, Lauren.

Is she in college here in Virginia? Just curious. So glad you had a fun visit!! And, indeed, God is so very good!
Yes, she is in her 2nd year at Liberty University majoring in American Sign Language. It is the hugest joy to watch her in action.
