Good Stuff 🌳 Porch #182
fully occupied birdhouses . refreshing links . and a song that hits home
Good weekend to you!
The bird houses he crafted from salvaged scraps of wood hang on random trees outside our doors. And they are bustling with life these days. A lemon-yellow-bellied great crested flycatcher is constantly announcing her presence, aiming to scare off us supposed predators from harming her little family. I’m thinking it must be her husband that’s hanging around, too, swooping high in the treetops, loudly yammering back and forth with the woman-bird of his dreams.
In between loads of wash, I’m geeking out with my binoculars on the little patio outside the kitchen. Or peering out the windows over the sink to see who’s coming and going from here to there.
Meanwhile, enjoy these gathered bits and pieces. Maybe there’s something that ended up there just . for . you.

MORE LINK LOVE . . .
Thanks for a very fun bunch of links. You can't beat a bird or two for good fun!
The funniest bird romance in my neighborhood was a male woodpecker who tried to impress the ladies by drumming away on the neighbor's rooftop antenna. This made quite a racket.
After a while he found love and she drummed back at him from a different house for a bit.
