Luke is the most precious! I’m so glad you took some slow time to process and tuck all those special memories you made deeper into your heart, Linda. Welcome home, dear one.
Such a sweet post and what a precious little one! Your words definitely spoke to my own heart as I returned this week from a holiday spent at the lake with 17 of my nearest and dearest, including two precious grandchildren. I know how full my own heart is... I can't imagine how precious the arrival of a great-grandchild would be! That's a long way away for me but I'm savoring every moment I get with these sweet Littles and their parents. At the same time, I've learned to relish my return home, too - there is a peace that comes with the quiet routines found there!
Laura, good morning! And isn't it sheer joy to be able to do both - to be fully present with our families and then relish our return to our quiet spaces again.
Thanks for sharing a bit of time with me today. I hope it's a good one for you.
What a delightful sharing of such rich intimate memories of your priceless time with family. Good job on savoring first when you arrived home rather than rushing about as usual.💕
Yes, precious memories! Thank you for sharing them with us, Linda, also the delightful photos. I'm so grateful you may still have that time together and got to meet your sweet little grandson. Love and hugs and blessings to you!
I'm glad you got such sweet time with your new great-grandchild. And yes, it's also good to return back home to an empty house that has been awaiting your return to infuse life in it again. Beautiful words and photos, Linda.
You're so right, Lisa, there IS something very good in returning home. The process seems to invite us to more gratitude and appreciation for what God has given us. That's always a good thing.
Love being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great great grandmother! It's a challenge to keep in contact when we are in OH, VA, TN, FL, NM, TX, HI, Japan and the Middle East! But we do!
Wow! What a full and glorious life you've had ... and to watch the next generations keep on coming is icing on the cake. Beautiful, friend. Just beautiful.
Yes. This is what we do, this is one of our biggest callings in this season of life! I find great comfort in knowing that God loves my people even more than I do and that in His hands, all will be well.
Aw, he is adorable!! I love baby snuggles and cuddles. We were at the lake this weekend, and my husband was watching a toddler play, and he said, "I can't wait until we are grandparents. I think I am going to enjoy it." Melt my heart. God willing, one day, and possibly even great grandparents :) Cherish the moments.
Aw, sweet friend! Luke is sooooooooo precious! Just perfect and so adorable! Yes! God surely is so very good! I loved reading about how it felt to come home, too! God continue to bless you and your family!
Luke is adorable and I am sure your time with him and all of your family was precious! My four grandchildren have brought us so much joy and it is a privilege to pray for them daily. We are so grateful that they built their home just down the hill from us. Having only one child, God has been so good to give us four grandchildren. I enjoyed reading your post, Linda. You are a gifted writer!

Lifting family to the Lord daily and as they come to mind.
I control only my thoughts and actions, nothing else.
Amen. Therein is our peace and sanity.
