Linda your photos are stunning! Ex extravert turned introvert friend here who loves solitude with my dog. I think I'd enjoy the Cape. Lol. Your words are encouraging today.

Thanks bunches for sharing this with Sweet Tea & Friends this month dear friend.

I love your photos of a winter beach home. The ocean has always been my restoration place.

A restoration place. I love the way you put that, Lisa. Happy Friday to you wherever you are!

Lots of links to explore here! And I love your lovely photos! As I get older, the less I like winter. A get-a-way helps to break the cold, but so does seeing the beauty of other places. Thanks for sharing the beauty of your place!

The beauty of other places is a gift you've given to us over and over, Lynn. You know I'm a fan ...

Such beautiful photos of nature. Winter is sure quiet. My son came in from outside yesterday and said "It sure is quiet outside".

Well, truth of a fun life.

Swimming, swimming, keep on swimming

through the winter to the sun.

Even though the light is dimming,

chilly weather can be fun.

Snowball fights and nude ice fishing

(please don't look, there's naught to see),

polar bears will have you wishing

you were fit enough to flee.

Icy sidewalks, icy street,

car slides sideways, bing bang boom!

Walking home on frozen feet

contemplating coming doom

when dear wife learns her muscle car

now sits in yonder wrecker's yard.

It has been cold here Linda but not as cold as you have it (least I don't think so). We have hovering around 0 in the morning and turning up the heat wave in the afternoon to the teens and low 20s. Least it feels like a heat wave. Love your pictures though (just not the cold). Stay warm.

I'm craving a long walk in the fresh air. Hopefully this week. Opening the window or stepping outside for a few minutes isn't doing it for me.

The photos are beautiful! It has been very cold here too. As always this is a great selection of links and resources, and I agree, it is very important to get out and connect with others instead of isolating ourselves.

It is super cold here (Ohio) today too. We are getting anywhere from 4-12 inches of snow this weekend...it's been snowing nonstop all day, at times heavier than others. I LOVE the peacefulness of the snow falling. Stay warm :)

Christine, yes please to staying home all day. Reading and writing and calming glances at the gently falling snow. Bliss.

Yes, that was my plan, but my seven and nine year old had other plans! Heading out now to go sledding with them - but will return to the couch as soon as I can!

Love the blue light of winter and even the stark loneliness, which is somehow quite beautiful. Thanks for the link to Erin Loechner, I will enjoy reading her work! Stay warm, friend!
