Linda, you're going to look stunning in that dress. I can't wait to see pics. I love your take on the porch today. And it has been my pleasure to share The Listening Life Book Club over at my place.
Thanks so very much for sharing this with Sweet Tea & Friends this month sweet friend.
Linda such a beautiful time here visiting on the porch, I needed this today, "God is there to reassure us that we are not defined by our best days or our worst days. We are His beloved.β how many times I forego sitting with Him thinking I have disappointed Him. Too many times I let the words of my childhood (Get out of my sight) cause me to run from Him rather than rest in Him. Thank you for reminding me of the truth.
You will look absolutely stunning in that dress, can't wait to see those pics!! Happy weekend sweet friend!!
Oh my heart aches for what you lived with Donna. Trusting that Jesus will bring healing to those hurt places, that you will know with sweet confidence that you are beloved and precious to Him ... just as you are. You are enough. You are His daughter. He loves you deeply.
Thank you for sharing just a peek at your story. Please know it is treated with loving respect here ... and will encourage others that they are not alone.
You'll make a lovely grandmother of the bride. It looks beautiful and cold outside and warm and inviting inside. I enjoyed our porch time, Linda, thanks for sharing!
Great goodies here again, Linda. As always, your words and photos breathe calmness into my heart. I love your painting, and the sunset is glorious. This truth is sooo comforting - "He holds us close to His beating heart as He carries us safely through those treacherous valleys that would easily swallow us alive if we were venturing alone." Thank you! Love and blessings to you!
I'm glad you find some calmness here, friend. Life - in person and online - is easily way too chaotic. I want to capture His peaceful presence to share with you all.
Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that recipe card with the pic of an old-fashioned stove. My mother had those and she copied some of the family recipes on them to give me when Steve and I got married (ages ago)! I used them for years. Now those recipes are in a computer file and I gave the cards to our daughter to enjoy as a keepsake of her grandmother. / I agree with others that your dress for the upcoming wedding is LOVELY! It looks quite comfortable too!
Oh what a beautiful story! Current put them out years ago ... not sure if the extra ones I have now were my mom's or mine. What a meaningful keepsake. I love using the kitchen stuff that was my mom's and grandma's.
I wondered if they were a Current item. Used to love their products--bought quite a few myself over the years, but not for awhile. Must check their online catalog!
Hi Linda. I love your dress, how smart to go ahead and find the dress for the wedding. I love all the photos, especially the dunes and the winter buoys! I hope your day is going splendidly! Did you eat all the chocolates?
Pam, when I saw the dress online, I couldn't grab it quick enough. I had a similar one years ago and it was my favorite (til I grew out of it!!) And it's blue and I wanted to honor the Navy since both my future grandson and my daughter's husband are Navy men. And you'll be proud of me - I shared the chocolates.

Thanks for partnering with me to get the listening story out there ...
Very good words and ideas to help us walk closer to Him and to allow Him to walk closer to me. Love the dress!
I like how you put that, Cathy ... 'to allow Him to walk closer to me.' So beautifully said. I'm grateful you're here.
I love your grandmother of the bride dress. All your photos are so lovely!
Joanne, thanks!
Such beautiful photos of everyday moments. Love it!
Everyday moments build the best memories, don't they ...
So soothing and inspiring, Linda. Thank you!
Blessings!
I hope you guys are finding rest and renewal this weekend, Martha. What a month you've been through.

Thank you, Linda, your kindness here always draws me in and welcomes me. I appreciate the safe place to share.

Glad to spend a bit of the weekend with you, Lisa ...
gorgeous photos and wonderful review of your life right now. Thanks for the shout out too
Thank YOU, my friend, for all you speak into my life.
I haven't seen icicles like that since I left Vermont! Thank you for these moments of beauty and peace today, friend. Blessings to you!
Thanking God for all those random moments of beauty and peace He lends us ...
When I see the words Be Mine,
I go back in my history ,
for there was another time
when the phrase joked 'bout an IED
placed in rubbish by a road,
or scraped 'neath a scraggle-bush.
Touch pressure plate with combat load,
and say goodbye to leg and tush.
Now those days are gone and past,
but street-trash makes me swerve the car
hard and jerky, way too fast,
for I lived where the wild things are
that would find peace of the soul
from my head stuck on a pole.
Did you ever imagine back in the day that your adventurous life would turn out to be fodder for poetry?
I had not a clue!
I love your photographs, as always! And what a beauty of a dress! I especially love the reminder to feel peace and be still. Barbara
I'm always so happy when I see your name pop up! And bonus points for when I hop over to your place and see that you've written.

Coldwater Creek is almost always a reliable source for me too. Fortunately weβve got a nice long break from close family weddings
I love how all your letters are so unique!
You're sweet.
A feast for the eyes and balm for the soul!
Christine, thanks! Eyes and soul are surely connected aren't they ...
I absolutely agree!
What a delightful collection of treasures for February!
Thank you for sharing these gentle moments of reflection and joy, Linda!
Gentle moments. Yeah, I'll take some of those any day and spread them around for us all to savor.
