Porch #149 π Early autumn reorganizing, reconnecting, & re-establishing
Thanks to the creative genius of Emily P. Freeman, we choose to focus & get all pro-active as autumn swiftly glides into view
Itβs a very brisk early morning here on the porch, a Carolina wren and a red-breasted nuthatch have woken me up with their insistent calls. Iβve got just a few words for you this weekend. Listen in β¦

I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil.
Deuteronomy 11:14
Hello fellow autumn-enterers!
I donβt know about you, but I do love a good list. I find it incredibly helpful to see tasks, must-dos, choices, and all the things written out in black and white orange right in front of me. Putting pen to paper quickly clears the swirling around of the myriad of thoughts and decisions that seem to endlessly compete for attention in my wish-I-could-still-multitask brain.
Our friend Emily P. Freeman has taken the guesswork out of navigating autumnβs debut by creating a lovely little template for her readers to follow.
Three categories make it easy - HOME, WELLNESS, and WORK. It took me all of 5 minutes to quickly scrawl out my own little guide for the next few months so I can enter the holiday season feeling like I accomplished something this fall beside sitting around with my feet up, nose in a book (not that thereβs anything wrong with that, but still β¦)
So please join me in creating your own unique list. Head on over to Emilyβs site and listen to the 16 minute podcast (yes, itβs worth your time) or reach for the transcript. Youβll find the link to download your very own personal FOR MY FUTURE SELF list.

I went first, now itβs your turn. Letβs talk about what you jotted down β¦ and Iβll be happy to answer your questions about whatβs claiming my attention.

I'm not one for lists. I always remember everything and tend to tackle the most urgent needs first. Right now I'm all about harvesting and canning from the garden, then I'll put the gardens to bed for the winter and decorate for fall.
