Hey you guys,

I can’t believe it’s been a year since Grace & Space was born. I’ve never been more myself in my online writing, more at ease with the technological aspect of it, and more grateful for this little community God is creating one post, one comment, one interaction at a time. Being here with you week in and week out has become a most meaningful, essential rhythm in my life … and an answer to the kind of prayers a long-time blogger prays.

All the pieces of my life - present, past, and future come together on these pages. The sometimes rocky journey to emotional healing and spiritual growth. The fruit and the failures, the griefs and the joys, a million lessons learned, often the hard way.

And He’s always been so gracious and kind-hearted, every step of the way.

All the hats I’ve worn - wife and student, mother and pastoral counselor, friend and introvert, daughter and ministry leader and grandma, facilitator and wanna-be glass ceiling breaker and sister girl. Aspiring minimalist. Curious asker of hard to answer questions. Tentative watercolorist. Forager of the illusive sea glass and vintage objects. The fiercely protective mama bear.

Isn’t it miraculous how God specializes in redeeming all of who we are, not only the good parts but the near disasters and deepest sorrows and boneheaded choices of our lives. Forgiven. Redeemed. Transformed. Hopefully a bit wiser. But still very much students in process of following their Heavenly Guide and Teacher all the way Home.

I bring my whole sometimes messy, complex self to cultivating and nurturing this safe, welcoming online haven. Writing for Him, for you. The best part is always the conversation that follows. Listening to your hearts and learning from your stories, questions, and wisdom is such a bounty of blessing in my life. Thank you to those who go there with me as we interact after each post. I’m beyond grateful.
