I think it was five years ago my daughter and her family brought me a pot of geraniums with a spiky thing in the center for Mothers' Day. The geraniums bloomed until pumpkin time, when I carefully removed the spiky thing, put it in its own pot and let the geraniums dry out in the spare room. Spiky Thing flourished in the sunny living room. while the geraniums slept the winter away in the peace and quiet of a north facing rarely used room. Come March and I woke up the geraniums, pulled out the dead leaves and deluged the pot with a long spring drink. Within a few days new leaves sprouted and by Memorial Day, the pot was centerstage on the front porch. Spiky Thing continued to grow like the weed I had decided it was. At the end of summer Spiky Thing was too tall to come inside, so it was donated to a space with higher ceilings. But the pot of geraniums has been beautiful every summer since, much to the dismay of my daughter, who can't believe I have kept these familiar friends alive so long. Geraniums are very humdrum, don't always smell very good, and tend to break easily when bumped or battered by a stiff wind. More or less like the people who live in this house. But they are stalwart, dependable, steadfast, cheerful and faithful as they re-cycle themselves for years with minimal care. More or less like the people who live in this house! A little Living Water, some Food for Thought, and I, like my geraniums, seem set to go on at least a few more springs! Hallelujah!

Linda this is just so uplifting hearing what your up to. I was just thinking about your little library the other day and I was happy to see you share it here. I'd be on the porch all summer too I don't have one. But I so love being porch people with my friend on her porch.

Thanks bunches for sharing with Sweet Tea & Friends this month dear friend. ❤️🤗☕
