What a beautiful way to celebrate your husband's birthday, enjoy the fall colors, and see family! The candles look amazing, thank you for sharing them. This weekend we moved my son to his first apartment. He is the last one to leave home. We repainted the walls and bookshelves today in preparation for turning the boys' room into a guest room. There is lots to do with family coming for Thanksgiving. Woohoo!
Oh I love you didn't waste any time in repurposing the room, Lisa! So many leave everything as is and close the door, kind of like a shrine to the past. I applaud you for looking forward and readying yourselves for whoever God brings your way. All those best memories of the boys will still bring you delight.
How fun! Mom and I are on a road trip from TX to AZ. But the only sights we're taking in are the Loves gas stations, lol. Our fun will start when we arrive. Although, truth be told, we are enjoying the journey! Have fun and be safe!
Your road trip sounds amazing! I hope you are enjoying every second with all your loved ones. May God bless and protect you and Tim and bring you back safely home at the appointed time, in Jesus' name. Love you, sweet friend. Oh, and I am heading over to take a peek at those window candles. I have some in our three front windows that are electric. Would love to not have to deal with those cords!
Yeah, the cords were always a pain. And real life lit candles are beautiful but can be unsafe. Looks like these babies are here to stay. I'm happy not to have to think twice about them once they're up ...
Always love your photos, Linda. You manage to zero in on interesting details or pick the best spot for a panoramic view. I pray your trip is full of delightful blessing! / This autumn weekend finds us at home, but tonight we'll have dinner at our older son's home. He loves to cook and finds the most luscious recipes; she loves to bake and always presents a fine finish to every meal. We often gather on Saturday night--family and a few friends together; always a delight of food and fellowship!
Corn stalks around a pillar...that's a creative way to decorate for fall! I had a road trip across New England recently -- Boston to Woodstock, Vermont. Time didn't allow me to explore Maine, but a road trip east to Halifax and down the coast to Portland, Maine (and exploring Cape Cod along the way) is high on the list! Enjoy your trip, Linda!!
There's no place like New England in the fall! I love that you have a future wish list, too, Lynn. Maybe one adventure truly does lead to the next (although I think I'll need a break between one journey and the next, ya' know?!)
Linda, enjoy every minute of the road trip. I love all of the wonderful images you shared, especially the capture of the falling autumn leaf. Safe travels, my friend!
Thank you for all the refreshing photos, Linda. I love that restaurant wall. :) And I so appreciate Paula's transparency with such a difficult situation. Love and blessings to you!
I absolutely love those candles and just might have to buy some for our holidays. And the pillow says it all. Danny is so hard to shop for and with his birthday being around the corner, it would be a perfect gift. Thanks, Linda, and safe travels!

Oh a road trip with Mom! What a delightful memory maker. Enjoy each mile ... and have a wonderful time when you get there.
Your road trip sounds lovely, Linda. We're about to head off on an adventure too ... :-)
Oh, do tell!

All the photos are great. Enjoyed the chalk board and cow especially. Enjoy your trip!
Chalk boards are so fun!

What a wonderful Saturday night tradition ... a perfect prelude to Sunday's worship.
It is! We sit in church together too!

Happy trails, friend ...
I hope your trip is wonderful - every last mile (after mile) of it!! Thanks for the headsup on those candles. I need those in my windows!!:)
Today is day #5. I'm tired! But oh so grateful ...
those candles look amazing. I just put them into my amazon cart. Thank you for showing them to me. Enjoy your trip. I am enjoying your photos!
Oh I can't wait to hear about them in your home, Jean! I keep mine burning well into February.
Your photographs capture a feeling! Autumn in New England is the stuff of storybooks. You made me a little homesick.✨
Yep, there is something golden about this season. I never want it to end ...
Some things are not meant to last,
leastwise, not for me,
and road trips lie now in the past,
but they have set me free
to send my heart down other trails,
winding lanes that have no name,
and the best thing that avails
is the knowing that we are the same,
no matter of the tongue we speak,
no matter of race or of creed;
we travel for the thing we seek,
the rising of God's planted seed
within each vital beating heart,
to stand together, not apart.
And for all of us who love the Lord, we're on our road trip Home ...

Oh, the leaves were falling like rain ... it was so beautiful!

Yes, Paula's story was very moving ... I'm proud of her honesty and courage in speaking truth.
I love that photo of the inspirational restaurant board. That is so sweet. Wishing you safe travels.
It was a unique place ... and their theme was BACON!!!

I'm all about the candles. I knew I couldn't be the only one! And here's some of those pillows, Martha ... https://amzn.to/3UlLe8K
Lovely photos of a journey that will find more beauty along the way. Thanks for the photos. This Florida girl appreciates the fall beauty.
Yes, the Cape Cod girl agrees. The beaches are missing the kinds of trees with colorful leaves.
