Holy Spirit - please don't wait for me to notice. Amen. And yes. Or how often do I notice...and then look for refreshing elsewhere? Thanks for the encourgement today, Linda.
Living alert and aware of what God is doing ... and being quick to praise Him. Yes, Nancy, thanks for this reminder to pay attention to the blessings and the movement of His Spirit.
It's actually a good season right now Linda. I am finding myself drawing near to God in the midst of personal pain. My friend of 10 years is fighting brain cancer but God has allowed me to draw even closer to he and his wife. Jo had a medical procedure done today that has her tied in knots but I'm trusting God to do all things well. It is her first time and at 74 she has been able to put this off. The doctor said no more. :) The church is growing and I feel excited but inadequate. I am in the process of trying to figure out a succession plan that should happen in 3-4 years. Prayers for stamina to face the future and to keep trusting come what may would be appreciated.
I'm praying for Jo and your friends right now. And grateful that you're finding yourself drawing closer to God in the midst of all the grief and unsettledness. He hears the cries of our hearts.
Thank you for your prayerful words this morning. I finished reading A Shepherd looks at Psalm 23 by W. Phillip Keller a couple weeks ago and gained a much deeper insight into Psalm 23. It feels like a personal Holy Spirit communion to read your prayer on this day.
Amen, and amen! The cry of my heart tonight, too! God bless you for this precious encouragement.
I hope you spotted something in there just for you ...
never quite thought of this title of God before: Soul Restorer. love it and find such comfort and peace and one I won't forget!!
Amen, He surely is our comfort and peace. Where would we be without Jesus?

Wow, that's a telling question, Jennifer -->'Or how often do I notice...and then look for refreshing elsewhere?'
Ouch. Forgive us, Lord.
I'll be carrying this with me today: "restore my soul."
Some days we know without a doubt that He is all we need.
Oh, yes, praise God for his interventional surprises! May we live alert so as not to miss them.

I am an alcoholic in long term recovery.
On my fifth sober birthday...I had that engraved on my medallion.
"He restoreth my soul."
Only through God's grace and mercy am I blessed to be free from alcohol and all drugs for almost twelve years. God is good!
Amen - what a wonderful testimony!
Thank you,Jennifer.
God is so good!
Celebrating the grace of this miracle!
Thank you dear Michele...as am I!!!
Praising God with you this afternoon, Casey ... and so honored that you'd share a glimpse of your story with us here.
Thank you, Linda. I am immensely grateful for the miracle that God performed in my life
Congratulations, Casey--WELL DONE!!
Thank you, Nancy...God truly performs miracles and I'm grateful that He chose me. 🙏
I'm in one of those seasons right now.
How can we pray for you, Bill?

Thank You, Lord.
Amen.
Yes.
A most beautiful prayer, Linda.
Thank you, Jeanie.
Yes, I'm weary and I'm tired,
and, today, seems hope is gone.
Maybe I don't feel inspired,
but **** it, I will still go on,
not for ego, not for me,
but for those for whom I live,
for they deserve the certainty
that I have something more to give,
and therefore **** the scarlet blood
that's in this morning's toilet bowl.
Channel grace, God, in a flood
that I may keep Your blessings whole
and be poured out as libation
in this final liberation.
Movie suggestion...Guy Ritchie's The Covenant (yes, that's the official title). You won't be the same. You'll be better.
One day at a time. Sometimes one hour at a time.
Actually…one moment at a time…and He gives Grace for each. ❤️
He is grace.

Yes, my friend.
Thank you, Linda, for this deep breath. I agree, these words are an immediate lift to the spirit. Much needed today!
A deep breath. Sometimes that's exactly what body, soul, and brain are longing for, friend ...

Don't you just love when God does that?!
That is one of my all time favorite books. I e read it several times
Oh yes, Keller's book is an absolute classic, a must-read for every believer and seeker and one in need of comfort and hope.

Fabulous book! And thanks for your meditation today. Such a great reminder - and the seagulls help too. :)
Birds soaring do that, don't they!
